Does Bioactiv® Matrix need skin grafting?

No. Bioactiv® Matrix is designed to support natural tissue regeneration without skin grafting when used for its approved indications. Treatment decisions remain subject to the clinician’s assessment of the wound.

Does Bioactiv® Matrix contain animal or human materials?

No. Bioactiv® Matrix is fully synthetic, acellular and free from animal- and human-derived biological materials.

Does it need to be applied in an operating theatre?

Not necessarily. Bioactiv® Matrix may be applied in appropriate non-sterile clinical environments, subject to standard wound preparation and local clinical protocols.

Does Bioactiv® Matrix  require cold-chain storage?

No. Bioactiv® Matrix is shelf-stable and does not require refrigeration or cold-chain storage. We recommend to store the product at 25C, dry conditions.

What types of wounds can Bioactiv® Matrix treat?

Bioactiv® Matrix is intended for partial-thickness burns, skin-graft donor sites and other wounds covered by the locally approved indications.

Does it require sutures, staples or tape?

No. Bioactiv® Matrix conforms to the wound surface and is held in place with an appropriate secondary dressing.
