The Challenge & Bioactiv® Matrix Application

A motorcycle accident caused a mix of superficial and deep partial thickness abrasion wounds. Such wounds may contain debris and affect an uneven area, making thorough wound preparation, secure coverage and protection during healing particularly important.

Following wound preparation, Bioactiv®Matrix was applied directly to the wound and covered with an appropriate secondary dressing. The Matrix conformed closely to the wound surface, creating an environment designed to support tissue repair and re-epithelialisation.

The Results

Clinical Outcomes

Full re-epithelialisation of the Bioactiv® Matrix-treated wound was observed by Day 6.

At follow-up, the treated area showed favourable skin restoration with minimal visible scarring.

‍

Operational Efficiencies

Bioactiv® Matrix conformed to the wound and was applied without sutures, staples or adhesive fixation. Its straightforward application supported efficient wound coverage and simplified ongoing wound management.
